I just love that the Democrats are calling themselves “progressives.” It is SO in keeping with their general behavior and thinking. The only thing they’re progressing towards is socialism and the end of our American culture and heritage. But that doesn’t matter - as long as they sound good. They seem to be quite fond of putting noble-sounding tags to despicable policies. Just note: freedon of choice, pacifism, right to privacy, affirmative action.
A popular Democratic and MSM tactic is to keep telling a lie long enough that people will start believing it. People roll out the words “Bush stole the election from Gore,” “Bush lied,” “Bush is the real terrorist” and “Bush ordered illegal domestic spying” and they believe it because they’ve heard it over and over and over and over in the MSM. Apparently many people believe whatever the MSM and the Democratic talking heads tell them without looking into it and studying it for themselves.
The line about Bush stealing the election from Gore is the funniest to me. They’re like little children having a tantrum because they didn’t get what they wanted. The fact that the election was so close makes it an even more bitter pill for them to swallow. So they have been throwing their tantrum for almost six years now. OF course the fact that Bush didn’t steal an election has no bearing on this. The facts generally don’t stand in the way of the Democratic crybabies.
How can anyone call the United States and George W. Bush the real terrorists in the world while virtually excusing the Muslim terrorists? I think they’re afraid. If they take the terrorists seriously, that means they would have to support the war against them. And that would mean supporting a Republican president. It would also mean admitting that there are true terrorists in the world who don’t give a rat’s ass how progressive they are or how sympathetic they are to Islam - people who would rather saw off their heads than listen to their socialistic and humanistic drivel. It’s much easier to blame everything on Bush than to believe something so horrible and inhuman. If only it weren’t for Bush, all those radical Islamists would love us and there would be peace in the world. Sure, that’s how it would be.
They talk about “illegal wiretaps” and “domestic spying.” The manufactured terminology makes it sound ominous. From what I’ve researched, it seems obvious that the wiretaps that were done are legal.  The calls that were monitored were from known terrorists to known terrorist sympathizers or vice versa. The legal wiretaps have saved lives. Apparently, many in the Democratic party are terrorist sympathizers, so it’s no wonder they’re upset about it. Keep talking about the ILLEGAL wiretapping, and people start parroting the sound bites and believing them.
They talk about how Bush “lied” to the nation. They ignore the fact that virtually all of them agreed with Bush’s conclusions about WMDs. They have also mostly ignored the evidence that there were WMDs in Iraq - and that Saddam Hussein WAS tied in with Al Quaeda and Osama bin Laden.
It gets tedious to see and read the same drivel over and over every day.

“Terrorist sympathizers”? Take a breath, Carol.
What is the difference in Bennish’s extreme accusationss and yours? I’ll tell you: His were less extreme.
Is it not possible for Russ Feingold and Terrell Shaw to disagree with George Bush AND love our country? Sheesh!

Uh - well let’s see. I’m writing about my beliefs in a personal blog and not preaching them as the truth to a classroom of children. I’d say that’s the most obvious difference between how I express my beliefs and how Jay Bennish expressed his. And I have no doubt that you love your country. I just believe that you are misguided in how you demonstrate that love. But then, you believe I’m misguided in what I express my love for my country. So there we are. Our beliefs are pretty much opposite when it comes to politics. So I’ll express mine on my blog, and you’ll express yours on your blog. I’ll respect your right to believe what you want to and express them however you want to on your blog without being offended, and I hope you’ll extend the same courtesy to me.

I certainly did not mean to be discourteous, Carol. I hope I have always shown courtesy to you. I certainly try and I will continue. Just posting my opinions. One of my sincere, from the heart, from the soles of my feet to my bald spot, opinions is that calling Americans, with whom you disagree about how to fight terrorism, “terrorist sympathizers” is, on the face of it, offensive to those Americans.
If you do not wish me to comment here on your political posts, I’ll refrain in the future. Only about 15-25 folks look at my blog in a day’s time so I welcome all polite comments. It’s reassuring to get ANY response!

“How can anyone call the United States and George W. Bush the real terrorists in the world while virtually excusing the Muslim terrorists?”
Two factors at work here: evil and stupidity. And the latter, sadly, is largely due to the “enstupiation” of America via Adademia Nuts’ and Mass Media Podpeople’s efforts in brainwashing…
Those who tell lies like this knowing they are lies are evil. Those who believe them(especially without bothering to get the facts) are stupid.
EOS
As to the commenter who asked “What is the difference in Bennish’s extreme accusationss and yours?” Well… his own suggested answer demonstrates either a lack of knowledge of the Bennish situation (and/or a lack of understanding of the wild accusations Bennish leveled) or disingenuity. Your comments about the lies that roll trippingly off the tongues of Democrats—from those in positions of leadership such as Feingold to the denizens of “demoncrappic underpants”
—are in no way as exteme as Bennish disingenuously leading kids to the “Bush is Hitler” meme, among one of his milder offenses. And, of course, your response is on target: his use of a classroom for a brainwashing platform in his ideology would not stand in any district with serious professional standards, let alone moderate ethical guidelines.
And what exactly is wrong about you calling a spade a spade in your own forum—your blog—anyway? Facts are stubborn things dspite MMP lies. The facts support an allegation that Feingold and his ilk have continually sought to weaken the security of this country and hamper the fight against Islamic terrorists. How exactly is that behavior by such persons NOT unpatriotic, dangerous and (in the case of congresscritters) a violation of their oath of office?
What so-called “progressives” (who act for all the world exactly as if they were reading from “The Reactionary’s Playbook”) cannot stand is the truth. Instead, they unceasingly give us lying memes indistinguishabe in underlying content from the strategic plans of cultural assault laid down long ago by other progressives within the communist party, and disingenuous (or the more benign in intent, “useful idiot”) arguments such as the one posed by Terry, chiding people for pointing out the obvious.

Terry - As with anything written, we sometimes don’t express things very well. When I wrote the statement about “terrorist sympathizers” I did not intend to call all Democrats or liberals terrorist sympathizers. I know you well, and I know you are a patriotic person and take your beliefs seriously.
My intention was to write that TO ME it seems as though Democrats in general give more sympathy and understanding to the terrorists than they give to our own citizens - and our soldiers. Everything negative about Bush, the war or America is exaggerated and repeated and reported endlessly while REAL terrorist acts and threats are virtually ignored. And the positive things going on in Iraq and elsewhere are virtually ignored. Bad news makes the news. Good news doesn’t.
I repeat - I have NEVER doubted your love of our country or your loyalty to it. I DO disagree with you completely in how you’re expressing it. And while I don’t doubt your love of our country and loyalty to it, I definitely DO doubt that of many of the Democratic leaders and MSM.
And “disagree with Bush” is a very understated phrase for how most Democrats treat him and anything he says and does.
I stand by everything I wrote - except I didn’t make the statement about “terrorist sympathizers” very clear. I will go back and edit it when I get a chance later this evening.
I believe from the bottom of heart that the negative comments and actions of Democratic leaders and the MSM have made this war longer and has caused many more deaths than would have happened otherwise. Those behaviors and words have given “comfort and aid” to the terrorists. There is a time for dissent during war, and that time is at the ballot box. I have always believed that the duty of a citizen is to support leaders fully - especially abroad. When I disagree with those leaders, I no longer vote for them.
I welcome any comments that are written with respect and good taste.
