Thirteen Things about Carol
2. I forgot I was supposed to pick up Sweet Stuff and Sunshine from school this afternoon (Wednesday). How could I forget that????3. I enjoy cooking. When Sweet Stuff told me she wanted chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese for dinner - I made them both - from scratch.4. Sweet Stuff and Sunshine have me wrapped around their little fingers. I wouldn't have it any other way.5. I love to dance. I'm going to sign up for dance lessons with PawPaw. He PROMISED he'd take them with me.6. When I picked up Sweet Stuff, she walked with me to Sunshine's room. As soon as Sunshine saw me, she called out "Grandma Carol!" and came running towards me. Then she stopped, looked around and asked, "Where's PawPaw?" I just loved that!6. I love reading famous and apply-to-my-life quotes.7. I need to exercise more regularly.8. I need to take The Monthly Marathon more seriously. That would take care of #7 above.9. I see both sides of most arguments. I think life would be easier if I were more black-white in how I look at things. Even on issues I feel very strongly about, I see the other side.  That makes it hard for me to be adamant about some things.10. I'm really looking forward to my trip to Alaska in September. I am still amazed that I fell in love with Alaska so much. I just never imagined it would be "my kind of place." If it weren't so far from family, I'd love to live there.11. I will have to take uncompensated leave from my teaching job in order to go to Alaska in September. We don't want to go during summer vacation because we want to see the Alaskan autumn.12.My spring break starts in about 40 hours from now.13. During spring break I plan to go to Georgia and hear my mother preach at a local Methodist church. It will most likely be the best sermon I've heard all year. |

I was about to decide you didn’t have comments, then I found them at the top! I’m with you on #1 and #7–but you don’t need more sibs! Alaska in the fall sounds lovely. It’s those long nights I don’t think I could take in the winter. We loved it there when we visited in July. I have cousins who live there. I just know your mom will have an awesome sermon for your visit.

I once forgot to pick my hubby up from work on a day his car was in the shop for repairs. The really BAD thing on my part was, I was at home wondering WHY he had not come home yet, lol. Duh!
I love the Military support in your blog. The troops deserve it. My youngest son is stationed just North of Baghdad right now. I miss him.

Loved your list, very interesting. This is fun…Ohhhhhhhh, cook me some macaroni and cheese! I could eat a whole bunch of that right now!!! And from scratch too?!!! I’m so impressed with that! Really!!!!

Enjoyed reading your 13. Jacob calls my daddy Papaw, too. I love hearing him say it. It always makes me smile.
