As far as I’m concerned, the “immigration” rallies were a big zero. I’m only one minute cog in the vast wheel of our country, but the rallies/protests/boycotts didn’t affect my life one bit. There was the usual traffic on the roads and the usual crowds in the stores.
Any reasonable American understands that it is detrimental to our country - to our self-respect and to the respect that others have for our country - to tell millions of people that it is okay to break our laws - not only okay but that we’ll reward them for breaking our laws.
Nope. It’s a stupid idea. It has nothing whatsoever to do with racism. It has nothing whatsoever to do with hate. It has nothing whatsoever to do with compassion or the lack thereof. It has to do with not wanting people in our country who have blatantly broken our laws and who have shown disrespect and a willingness to take advantage of our generosity.
We welcome legal immigrants. Follow the rules, and you’re welcome here.
