Carol, this is a wonderful tribute. All of us that can….. should get out that shoe box of Polaroid’s, black and whites and dog-eared colored photos, ask the family to gather around and talk about it. The pictures become alive when you comment about them, thanks for inviting us all to view a few glimpses of those days of yourr upbringing.
Unfortunately, very few people even know what the word sibling means. Catch you later.
Webloafer is fortunate to still have his mother alive and well. Still driving, gardening and praying for her red headed son, at 87 years of age. I love my family so much, and it all centers around my wonderful Mother. Yes father was a remarkable man, one I hope to become…….still working on it, at 60, but my mother kept the family together, clothed, fed, schooled and guided, while Father worked his fingers to the bone. I am so glad I grew up in a big family in the hay days of America…….

You cannot convince me that America 2006 is better than America 1956.

Yes, some American problems have been solved in those 50 years, but complete wholesome, God guided families are rare today. Everyone for themselves. Marry anyone, any sex, abort inconvenient babies, live as animals….that’s what our America has become, a nation of animals, not humans. Love is replaced with Lust, Family replaced with whatever suits you, not God. Most of the heroes of today would have been jailed 50 years ago, if they dared act publicly like they do today.

We remember those hay days of America, but they will never return. I still love my country, but it is a flophouse of humanity compared to the family life of the 1950’s.
Yes, they laugh about ‘Leave it to Beaver’ but think about all they missed…….

I’m gonna go get out the shoebox of polaroids…..

Thanks.

Jessica! I'm so thrilled you stopped by and commented! Yes, your daddy was a precious little boy, and the pride and joy of the whole family. :-) I'm so glad you noticed my red shoes!

I'd never seen those younger pictures of daddy, so I really enjoyed your post. I usually silently read everyone's blogs, but I couldn't pass up commenting on this one. Love you!

BTW, I love your red shoes in the first picture!

Carol what a great tribute to your talented ...and fine Christian brother. Thanks, even though it made me cry. I like your choice of pictures...some I had not seen before. The bottom picture is good of all four but especially good of your Daddy.
