Thirteen of my Favorite Hymns
I grew up as a PK (Preacher’s Kid), and so I grew up hearing and singing hymns. My mother still sings them as she goes about her daily chores. Here are thirteen of my favorites. I could name dozens more. Each fifth Sunday our church has an old-fashioned community hymn singing, and I look forward to it so much.

I don’t know if I know all of them.
But When I Survey… was playing on the radio drivin gtoday and now reading your list it is in my head again. I love that hymn.

The only one I’m familiar with is Amazing Grace. I’m definitely going to check out that website. Maybe I’ve heard the song but didn’t know the title.

Great list of hymns! One of my favorites is “How Great Thou Art” beautiful hymn.

You know, I enjoy the “modern” uptempo music in my church, but I wish that every so often they’d throw in a classic hymn. They never get old.

I love all these hymns, too. Especially #s 1, 5, 9 & 10. I think I’ve probably written before that one of my favorite memories from college is the whole student body in chapel singing When I Survey, a cappella, in four-part harmony. Heaven on Earth. I’ll have to post my favorite 13.

Those are some of my favorites too. I love hymns. There are many of the contempory songs that I like but hymns and southern gospel touch me the most.

I love #10. Gosh, so many wonderful hymns in this list. My church still sings all those old hymns and I LOVE it.

even though im only 14 i love those old hymns. very powerful hymns, they never get old. could listen to them all day
