I had my yearly physical at the doctor’s the morning. Yuck! Really, there is only one thing I hate more - and that’s going to the dentist. After putting off getting a colonoscopy for years, the doctor said I REALLY should schedule one - since I’m well past the ripe old age of 50. Quadruple YUCK! I guess I will call and make an appointment. Of course the doctor’s appointment this morning started off with getting myself weighed. How depressing! I’ve been religiously going to Curves and exercising every day and eating less for two weeks now — and I still was horrified at my weight. Guess it’s time to face reality. Ignorance may be bliss, but it is also fattening.

My doctor recommended that my mom get a colonoscopy not too long ago. She really didn’t want to get one either. They ended up finding a little cancer in her colon. She is being treated for it now and is doing well.
I’m not trying to scare you…just telling you that it’s a good idea to get one just to be safe
Take care.

Thanks, Joshua. I’ve made the appointment for the “consultation” - and I assume the colonoscopy will be scheduled soon after that. Made a dentist appointment today, too…going to go ahead and get everything I dread over with! Thanks for stopping by and for your comment.

Carol, I sympathize. Warren just had one a couple of weeks ago. He said it wasn’t so bad. He was put to sleep and didn’t know a thing. Good news is everything was fine. He did say the worst of it is the night before when you spend a lot of time in a particular room of your home!!!! I am supposed to be making an appointment to get one too but I am going to wait until I recover a little more from my knee surgery.
