Check out Blue Star Chronicles for a post entitled: Send a Clear Message.  I couldn’t write it nearly as well - and I agree with Beth 100%.  WHY is the news media not absolutely FILLED with indignation and outrage over this?

When the mutilated bodies of Tucker and Menchaca were found, the Soldiers could not immediately recover their bodies. The bodies were set up as a trap.

They had been tortured. Their eyes had been gouged out, their tongues and penises cut off. They had been mutilated and finally beheaded. They were not recognizable. DNA test have been ordered to positively identify them.

They died a horrible death in defense of their country. Doesn’t this deserve more than one day of brief news coverage?

These are OUR children - OUR soldiers.  This wasn’t done because we so-called “invaded” their country.  This was done because they are barbarians and believe that in so doing, they will weaken our resolve.  We will leave Iraq, and they can take over and continue terrorizing everyone who isn’t Muslim all over the world.

Will the MSM and the anti-war crowd continue to preach that we deserve this when it’s THEIR children and THEMSELVES who are being butchered in such a way?  This is a war that MUST be fought and MUST be won decisively.  The survival of basic human freedoms depends on it.

I agree with her feelings of rage and anguish but her thinking is a bit weird, Carol. I’ve been seeing a lot of coverage of the tortured soldiers. Hell, every woman in the room with your friend was aware of it. There’s been plenty of coverage.

I don’t see how anyone, regardless of what’s happened to them in the past, could ever treat other people that way. Yes, we keep hearing about mistreatment of soldiers and civilians on both sides. Too many people are commiting evil acts and not seeming to have any regrets about it. It’s quite sad.

The story has received coverage - but not nearly the coverage it SHOULD receive. I’ve had the tv on the news for awhile, and they’ve talked about lots of stories, but not that one.

Well, no one ever accused me of not being weird )

I didn’t mean there was NO coverage - but it’s the lack of balance that I find outrageous. The news was showing very sympathetic photos of the man our Soldiers have been accused of killing. The photos obviously aimed at engendering sympathy and outrage. There were factual reports of the mutilated Soldiers and then moving on to the next story. Oh, they they minimized how horrific their murders were.

But then they wouldn’t want us to get upset at the muslims. The media, as usual, is just looking after us.

Thanks for the link and support, Carol )

Carol, I read Beth’s post and thought it was right on. She stated it SO well. I am sick and tired of the MSM and their bias.
Good luck on your move. Love ya.
