I heard someone on TV yesterday talking about how this “discord” between radical Islamists and western nations is a “clash of civilizations.” That’s impossible. There can be no clash of civilizations when radical Islamists aren’t civilized. It’s a clash between civilized nations and ignorant barbarians. And unfortunately, because most civilized people can’t fathom the warped minds of the terrorists, they’re intimidated by the ignorant barbarians.
The Pope talked about how his remarks were to open a dialogue among the religions. Diaglogue involves two people or groups. In this case, only one side is willing to talk. Radical Islamists are only willing to kill, maim and riot. You can’t talk with people whose only desire is to kill you.
The only way to deal with them is to eradicate them.

AMEN! I found it ironic that the Islamists took offense to what the Pope said about them being a violent religion…..they responded with violence. Now that makes sense, doesn’t it???
