One of my students fell off the parallel bars during recess and broke his arm. I helped him to the office, comforted him while the nurse stabilized the arm and we waited for his mother to arrive, and worried about him till evening when I called to ask how he was doing. The mother did not answer my questions about his well being but instead launched into to a ten minute interrogation of me, demanding to know which teachers were supervising him, and how in the world we could have managed to allow such a thing to happen. I thought we were gonna be sued.

Man first it was no peanut butter sandwiches and now no tag? Those two things summarize my childhood.

This is so sad, just one more thing adults are taking away from children. A few years ago adults decided that there would be no more keeping score at games. But the kids kept score anyway. Hopefully they will find a time and a way to enjoy being kids when stupid adults are not hovering over them.

That's just pathetic.

The woman who said something about her son feeling safer and her seeing too many near collisions. Can you just imagine how much that kid is going to be made fun of? What's he going to do when the school bully gets ahold of him?

How about toughen up. Live life. And don't hire a lawyer everytime you get a scraped knee.
