On one of my morning blog excursions recently, I came across “Well, Ah Nevah!” at Cozy Reader. It’s a meme in which you list thirty things you’ve never done. Although I’m sure there are millions of things I have never done, I’m also sure I can’t come up with thirty.  So, I’ll just start and see how far I get. Here goes:
1. I’ve NEVER gone sky-diving. I almost did one time when I went with a friend who wanted to learn to sky-dive. I went through the several hours of training (for a single jump) with my friend - just as a support - I didn’t plan to sky-dive. If I had it to do over again, I would have done a tandem sky-dive that same day. My friend did a solo sky-dive that day.
2. I’ve NEVER gone bungee-jumping. I think I might enjoy that, too. On second thought - nahhhh.
3. I’ve NEVER been arrested - although when I was a child I tried to shoplift something and the store manager told my mother. I was mortified and have gone overboard being honest in stores every since then.
4. I’ve NEVER been fired from a job.
5. I’ve NEVER been injured in a car wreck. I’ve had several car wrecks, but (knock on wood) no one was ever injured in one of them.
6. I’ve NEVER broken a bone. I’ve only had stitches once when I was hanging clothes in a closet, and the shelf fell and hit my forehead. Guess there were too many clothes hanging from that shelf.
7. I’ve NEVER been skinny. I guess maybe I was when I was a little girl - and when I was in high school and college (although at the time I thought I was too heavy).Â
8. I’ve NEVER enjoyed having a pet. To me, they are just a lot of trouble. (Sorry, pet lovers, that doesn’t mean I’m a bad person. I am just not a pet person.)
9. I’ve NEVER been a famous author. However, it is one of my dreams. I’d love to write children’s books and tour schools reading my books to children - and sell lots of them, too.
10. I’ve NEVER been to Europe. I’d like to someday - just Italy, Ireland and Scotland and Austria - maybe England. Those are the only countries outside the USA I have any interest in visiting at this point in my life.Â
WHEW! I think ten is my limit for right now! That was more difficult than I thought it would be. I don’t think I would have ever come up with thirty things. If you decide to try this meme, let me know. I’d like to read yours, too.

Ha! Good list! But you have been skinny - well, pretty thin. I guess it depends on the definition of skinny.

From the looks of your blog you should be a famous author.

Don’t regret not bungee-jumping. I did it one and it was a mistake. I didn’t like the feeling at all.

That’s a good start. Not only have I never been bungee jumping….I don’t plan on EVER doing that.
And about the skinny thing, I remember you being thin and having a cute figure.
Thanks for the plug!

I’m with you on everything except 7 and 8…I was skinny in ‘Nam - about 150 pounds, and I have always had a dog that I loved almost as much as my children. Are kids trouble…well, yes!
Â
Carol’s response: Yes, kids can be lots of trouble. It’s not the same or even similar FOR ME with dogs, though. I have NOTHING against dogs - I simply don’t enjoy them.

How can you not like dogs? The keep your feet warm at night. I like to sit on my couch with my feet on my dog, like an ottoman. He thinks he’s getting petted and my feet are warm.

I loved your list. Cute idea for a meme. I’m with you on the dog thing. Dogs are cute and lovable, but too much work. I don’t have the time or desire to spend the time needed to clean up after them. It’s not that I don’t like them, I just don’t enjoy the work that goes with them. I’ve always thought bungee jumping looks like fun, but doubt I’ll ever try it.
