Last night – on the spur of the moment – RT and I ended up going to a sushi place for dinner with our son (affectionately known here at TMS as Scalawag) and his wife, Mia.  What a fun time!  I had my old stand-by, a Joe Roll, and RT had a Rainbow Roll – and we got a Philadelphia Roll.  Scalawag and Mia had some other kinds that we tried, too.

We laughed and talked for ages.  It’s just such a wonderful feeling to have such a good time with family.  It was a great evening.

I would think that someone without close family feeling would feel isolated or disconnected. I am so thankful that I enjoy being with family so much! lol I remember that when Lyn and I taught in the same school and rode to work together, one day a coworker commented: “You two come in laughing every morning! What do you find so funny so early in the morning?” I thought then about the quote I had heard “Laughter is how friends ‘make love'” A lot of truth to that.

TMS: I don’t think I’ve ever heard that quote! I’ll have to look it up now. Knowing Lyn, I understand why you came in laughing every morning! She always has the funniest comments/insights.

Nothing better than family – but I can think of a lot better things to share the moment with!
