RT and I enjoyed Jordin Sparks’ singing so much tonight that we listened to her song about 7 times. No joke. We kept rewinding and listening to the song over and over. I don’t think I’ve ever heard that song before. RT said we could make it “our song.” It really was a beautiful song - and Jordin did a wonderful job with it. It’s the ONLY song in a competition other than Zac Hacker’s “If It Wasn’t For The Whiskey” on Nashville Star that I’ve liked enough to listen to more than once.
And Haley. I was ready to send her home before the show - but after her chit-chat with Ryan Seacrest after her song, RT and I both were ready to call in a vote for her. It wasn’t the best vocal in the world, but it was ta remendous improvement over previous weeks. She was close to being very, very good.
And what was with Chris Sligh this week? He looked and sounded different than before. He was like a different person entirely. He was one of my favorites until this week. He was bland tonight.Â
Melinda and Lakisha were both very good this week - but I think Jordin was WAY better than either of them.
Am I the only one that thought Blake Lewis really looked WEIRD when he was singing - kinda like he was gasping for air? I don’t like his singing at all, but I doubt he’ll go home until closer to the end.
Who’s going home? Based on tonight’s performance, it should be Sanjaya Malakar. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if Stephanie Edwards, Brandon Rogers, Gina Glocksen or Chris Richardson went home tomorrow.

Jordin was fabulous last night and she is SO beautiful. I think the finalists will be Melinda, Lakisha and Jordin. Any of them would be a great choice.

It appears it will be a race of the big black chicks this season. They are the only ones with true voices!
TMS: the only one I’d call “big” is Lakisha. I think the strongest singers are Lakisha, Melinda and Jordin. The contest is so fickle, though. Every year someone I think is wonderful and should win is voted off early. There’s just no telling who will get the fewest votes each week.

MD
TMS: It was “I Who Have Nothing.” It was beautiful, wasn’t it? Jordin is my absolute favorite. I hope she wins.

WOW!!!! Thats what i have to say about AI. The talent this year is unbelievable! I think that Jordin Sparks is completly in a different league than anyone else in the competition as of the last episode of AI. As for Sanjaya … ???? What is he still doing in the competitiion? He should have been sent home weeks ago and although Stephanie was a little off (okay alot off) she was still NOWHERE near the bad talent that Sanjaya is. He seems like a nice kid and all but he really needed to be voted off weeks ago already.
