Thirteen Recipes I Love
Back in November, I posted a Thursday Thirteen with recipes that I love.  Here’s my second list of thirteen recipes - no duplications from the previous one!
(1) Cucumber and Cream Cheese Sandwiches (These are really great. My mother (Ruthlace) is making some for a bridal shower we’re hosting this coming weekend. Yum! I can’t wait!)Â
(2) Instant Capucchino Mix and Instant Spiced Tea Mix
(3) Fresh Apple Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting (The BEST apple cake and cream cheese frosting I’ve ever tasted)
(4) Southern Sweet Iced Tea (made with Splenda) (My own recipe. I keep a gallon on this in the refrigerator at all times)
(5) Wraps (you choose the meat and cheese)Â (These are really pretty to serve to guests - and they’re easy to make)
(6) Sweet Potato Souffle (This is famous in my family!)
(7) Homemade Peach Ice Cream (no sugar) and Orange-Pineapple Sorbet (no sugar, no fat) (I made both of these for a church ice-cream supper. I loved them both)
(8) Moist Pound Cake with Caramel Frosting (Again- THE best recipes for pound cake and caramel frosting I’ve ever tasted)
(9) Tuna Salad Supreme (This is my own creation - I have a secret ingredient that makes it spectacular! As a matter of fact, I had it for dinner last night and lunch today.)
(10) Moist Banana Bread (Another family favorite - always delicious)
(11) Easy Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits (easy and good!)
(12) Omelets in a Bag (sounds unlikely but it works great!)
(13) Monkey Bread (sweet, gooey, delicious)
And a bonus recipe: (14) Grape Salad (uses green and red grapes)

These recipes look really good. I’m especially going to have to try the omelettes in a bag next time I have company. Great list. My TT is up also.

Reading your TT’s made me want to go and get something to eat. Which is a bad thing since I really should be going to bed around now instead. Bookmarked instead and I’ll read them again when I should be thinking about food.

Yummy, recipes! Thanks for posting such delicious-sounding fare. And I’ve had monkey bread — mmmmmm, *drool*!
Happy TT!

I’m glad to be reminded of these! I know I copied the ice cream and sorbet ones, but i haven’t remembered to try them. My TT is 13-letter words this week.

These recipes are making me hungry. It’s been a difficult food week for me - on weight watchers and not doing well since our large Easter weekend lamb roast. Thanks for sharing . . . great idea for a TT post.

Your sweet potato souffle is very much like my family’s recipe (which traveled from Georgia to upstate NY to suburban NYC to Israel), except mine has walnuts and raisins instead of pecans.

YUMMMMMMM! I already told you that we LOVED your Chicken-Black Bean Enchilada but I want to try your Tuna Salad Supreme too!
I also make my sweet tea with Splenda. You can’t really tell the difference, I don’t think.
My T13 is up.

I think I gained five pounds just reading the list.
My mouth is watering. I definitely want the homemade peach ice cream and the sorbet recipes. I see a few others that catch my eye. All I can say is you can put up a list like this anytime and I’ll be stopping by!
Happy TT.

I haven’t had a good apple cake with cream cheese frosting since I was a kid. I just might have to make it.

Pound cake? With caramel frosting?

Oh. My. God.
This site is going straight to my bookmark folder. I was looking for some new cake recipes anyway. Thanks for giving me something to try out this weekend.
