My opinion is that people protesting violence against animals are most likely also outraged at the atrocities committed by terrorists. Just because you protest one event, or support one cause, does not mean that you don't also support others. It's like saying how can people support cancer research when you look at the AIDS epidemic. Can you really look at one in isolation of the other? This isn't about being more offended with crimes against people versus animals, it's about being equally offended by both. If action is taken on any worthy cause, it's a good thing.

The MSM knows what the American people want to consider news. People don't want to face a long-term story like a war. At least bloggers keep me sane because they appreciate and understand the real news.

As I so often rant in my blog - the mainstream media does not know the meaning of "news". They seem to think that "news" is celebrity gossip, celebrity style, TV shows' popularity, movie reviews, and "guess what stupid thing somebody did over in Podunk Hollow!" It is scary to realize that they are giving out what the majority of Americans seem to want - just entertainment and avoidance, not real news.
