What is with stupid junior high teachers?  Here goes another one - getting involved romantically/sexually with a student.  Folks, please!  At what point does a teacher even have the TIME to think of anything other than teaching while at school?  And really, 13-year old boys are anything but sexy.  I mean, their voices haven’t even changed yet.  Apparently, this particular teacher has screwed this child in more ways than one.  She selected a 13-year old illegal immigrant to prey upon, and then had the bright idea to run away with him to Mexico.  Then she couldn’t even finance the trip, and she makes him call relatives for money.  Thus, they’re caught, and now he may not be able to return to the USA.  How did an idiot like that ever get a teaching license?  I know there are stupid and evil people everywhere, but there sure seems to be an excess of them in teaching lately.

Boy Stranded After Teacher Is Arrested

LEXINGTON, Neb. (Nov. 4) - A 13-year-old student with whom a middle school teacher is accused of fleeing to create a romantic life in the boy’s native Mexico may be required to stay there.

An illegal immigrant while residing in the United States, 13-year-old Fernando Rodriguez may not be able to return to the rural Nebraska town where he was an eighth-grader.
Kelsey Peterson, 25, and Rodriguez were taken into custody without incident after the boy’s relatives told police he had called home asking for money, leading investigators to a shopping mall in the border city of Mexicali on Friday.

Peterson, a sixth-grade math teacher and basketball coach at Lexington Middle School, fled with the boy after police began investigating whether the pair had an intimate relationship, authorities said. Court documents said the boy was last seen Oct. 26.

An international hunt was under way after Peterson’s car was spotted crossing into Mexico on Tuesday.

“They didn’t have a very well-defined plan, it was basically to continue driving into Mexico to hide,” said Alfredo Arenas, the Baja California state police official who detained Peterson. “This was a mutual agreement to flee after the story came out that they were having sex.”

I’ll stop there.  Once when RT and I were traveling along a country road in Georgia, we came upon a state trooper inspecting a box in the middle of the road.  Since the box was blocking our lane of traffic, RT stopped and asked if everything was okay.  The trooper said everything looked okay . . . “but you never know.  There’re a lot of low-down dirty and crazy people out there,”  the trooper replied.  Indeed there are.
