It’s been a week since the 2007 Weblog Awards closed, and I’m thankful. It just about wore me out checking the totals every day to see how badly I was losing! I was SO far in last place in my category (Best Diarist) that it was humiliating. Yes, it was wonderful just to be nominated, and someone HAS to be in last place. I just wish I could have not been so undeniably and absolutely in last place. The only consolation I have is that I was up against Ruthlace - which just happens to be my mother. So I voted for her most of the time - although I must admit I did vote for myself a couple times, too. (One vote per computer per day - so each person could vote numerous times.)
To be honest, I was surprised to be nominated since I was without computer for over two months prior to the Weblog Awards. I hadn’t posted regularly in so long, I had lost a good chunk of my readers. So maybe I should just be grateful for being nominated and for getting the votes that I did. Still….last place?! Sigh.
