I'm not a muslim myself. I grew up Christian. This type of thing is not part of the Muslim religion. Muhammad based his religion on the teachings of the prophet Jesus Christ. It's supposed to be about love. The laws of this country have perverted the teachings of the Muslim religion. You really should do some reading up on it. You'll find it interesting. I suggest "A History of God" by Karen Armstrong. It's a fascinating read.

TMS: Wonderful - first commenter is a Muslim sympathizer. I knew when I wrote the post that I'd get comments like that. I just had no idea you'd find your way here so quickly.
I'm sorry if my view offends you, but it doesn't matter what the "real" religion of Islam intends. You can talk about how it's about love all you want. The fact is, though, thousands of people are being killed or mistreated daily in the name of Islam, and leaders of Muslim countries are swearing to rid the world of anyone who isn't Muslim. It's not a few fanatics, either. It is literally world-wide. I watched a video of a beheading a few years ago - done in the name of Mohammad. It didn't have anything to do with love - unless it was love of hatred and insanity. If Islam is really such a peaceful religion, then the peaceful Muslims had better take it back from the ones you claim are misinterpreting it because their bastardization of the religion will cause its demise eventually. Until its demise, though, there is no telling how much terror and destruction they'll cause in the name of Islam. When I see what's happening in the world today, there is no way I can have any sympathy or empathy for Islam at all. It is a vile religion.
