America’s oldest city is St. Augustine, Florida, iand St. Augustine s all about art and music in the First Friday Weekend Art Walk which happens the first weekend of each month.  The St. Augustine Artwalk , sponsored by the art galleries of St. Augustine, features an extraordinary collection of eclectic art.  There’s free parking, free self-guided tours,  free sightseeing train and trolley tours.  Such variety, too!  There’s art for every taste - from painting to photography, music, architecture and more.  More than twenty different galleries participate in this monthly extravaganza.  It makes me wish I lived near there.  I hope to be able to make a weekend trip there in the spring.  Can you imagine strolling the streets of St. Augustine and exploring all the wonderful artwork and listening to the music.  What an adventure!

Tripp Harrison Studio and Gallery is one of the participants, and I checked out his website. Just beautiful  You can click here to see some examples of Tripp’s art.  You can see it in person by joining in one of St. Augustine’s most popular cultural events on the first Friday and Saturday of every month from 5 to 9pm.

During the First Friday Art Walk, you can enjoy exhibits, entertainment, music and refreshments.  Tours begin at the Rembrandtz Fine Gifts for Fun People on King Street in St. Augustine.    Additionally, St. Augustine Sightseeing Trains and Old Town Trolleys offer complimentary shuttle service to most of the galleries. Shuttles run on a continuous loop every 30 minutes.
