John EdwardsIt has been interesting watching the Democratic debate tonight.  John Edwards has shown his true colors.  He is running for president of the United States, and yet he keeps making extremely disrespectful and snide remarks about the current POTUS.  It demonstrates his definite non-presidential personality.

Plus, he is majorly playing up to Hillary Clinton - criticizing Obama, agreeing with Hillary.  Can you say “PANDER”?  I guess he figures he has absolutely no chance to win the nomination, and so now he’s working on becoming Hillary’s running mate.  And it may happen.  While he’s talking, Hillary’s been over there nodding her head.  Hillary shoots visual daggers at Barack all the time.  It is really interesting.

I guess it’s politics, but it distresses me that three people who want to be president of the United States would so blatantly criticize the current President.  There’s no attempt to “respectfully disagree” - it’s nothing but blatant and demeaning criticism.  They’re presenting a horrible example for everyone.

The whole thing that bothers me about the Democrats recently is the total lack of respect for President Bush. I can even agree with some of their arguments, but the totally arrogant and demeaning manner in which they refer to him turns me off — bigtime! He IS the president; like him or not, classy people would show respect.

TMS: That’s what bothers me, too. President Bush WAS elected to office, and regardless of his approval ratings or their disagreements with him, he is the President of the United States. It reflects badly on them when they are so disrespectful. And another thing that bothered me is that Hillary made it such a big deal that Obama might possibly have said something positive about Ronald Reagan. Reagan did many good things, and it only makes a person seem stronger to acknowledge the good things another person does. They act, however, like if you’re a Democrat, you can’t say anything whatsoever that might possibly be construed in any way positive about anything a Republican does.

links from Technoratis no sign of Edwards giving up, and it’s quite possible this race will go all the way to the convention where Edwards will decide where he wants his delegates to go. Stay tuned. I see real fisticuffs in this race in the near future. The Median Sib didn’t likehow John Edwards carried his disdain: John Edwards has shown his true colors.
