I’m on my first day of Nutri-System.  So far, so good.  The food isn’t bad - and the plan allows for a good bit of fresh stuff - fruit, vegetables, salads, dairy products.  So it’s not as limited as it might seem.   I selected one of the least appetizing looking entrees for my lunch today - just to go ahead and eat the bad stuff when my will power was high.  It was black beans and rice - a dried meal that you add boiling water to and let sit for awhile to absord the water.  It looked awful, but it actually tasted pretty good - and that surprised me.

I checked my NutriSystem account online, and it appears that the package I received yesterday was only shipped the day before yesterday. Apparently, even though they have not responded to any of the three emails I’ve sent about my order, they re-sent the order on Tuesday.  I received it the day after it was shipped.  My account shows two different tracking numbers.  The first one still only shows “Billing Information Received.”  The second one shows the complete tracking of the package I received yesterday.  I wonder why they didn’t respond to the email to let me know that they re-sent my order.  Customer service just isn’t a priority with NutriSystem, it seems.  This order has 35 days of food instead of 28.  I guess the extra week is the extra week I get for my auto-delivery - even though I canceled auto-delivery after two weeks of waiting.

I’ve heard conflicting stories from other NutriSystem customers.  I have a teacher friend who is very happy with it and has lost about 20 pounds over the past couple months.  My brother-in-law had a situation similar to mine - it took so long for the order to arrive that when it finally did, he didn’t even unpack it.  He just sent it right back to them.  Other people have tried it and liked it and gotten their orders very quickly.  My daughter tells me that when she mentioned NutriSystem to some friends, they immediately warned her that Jenny Craig food was much better.  So I’ll just wait and see.  After I finish 35 days of NutriSystem, I will probably sign up for Jenny Craig.

    I received my Nutrisystem package on Wednesday and I ordered it on Sunday. I haven’t tried it yet though, I’m waiting until after Brian’s birthday on Sunday so I won’t feel so bad about eating the cake! I read NSfoodreviews.com It was a little motivating.

    TMS: Amanda! Why on earth are YOU doing Nutrisystem. You are gorgeous and don’t need to lose any weight whatsoever! Anyway - I’m on day 2 now. It’s not too bad. Some of the food is questionable - especially the lunch stuff. At the prices they charge per meal, you’d think they could get something that tastes decent.
