Miley Cyrus is supposedly “embarrassed” over the photos in Vanity Fair. Here’s one of the “nude” photos. I’m very disappointed in both Miley Cyrus and Vanity Fair.

Now here’s a wider angle of the above photo session. Doesn’t seem so risque now, does it?

ABC News has this article about it:
15-Year-Old Says She Thought Photographs Would Be ‘Artistic’
Miley Cyrus ‘Embarrassed’ by Photo Spread Miley Cyrus, the 15-year-old star of “Hannah Montana,” said she is “embarrassed” by a provocative photo spread shot by famed photographer Annie Liebovitz that is appearing in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair.
“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” she said in a statement released today. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
Cyrus, the daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, is the singing and acting sensation known to her legions of teenage fans from the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana.”
According to People magazine, Cyrus is clothed in the photos but is shown in such a way that that the she appears to be topless.
The Disney Channel, after learning of the Vanity Fair photo spread and article also issued a statement critical of the magazine.

My question is: “Why would Miley Cyrus want to appear to be naked? Does she not feel any responsibility towards the millions of little girls who idolize her? I’m sure that by making it “seem” that she’s topless in the photo, Vanity Fair will sell lots and lots of magazines - and they’ll get lots of publicity. And, sadly, that’s what it all boils down to. Money and publicity. Hopefully, this will be a lesson for Miley about how people will take advantage of her - and about how scandal sells.

As for the topless part… get a life you pervs, she isn’t topless. Personally, I really don’t even think the picture is that provocative. For that matter, she is abit of a bowser in the making anyways.

actually i am disappointed in her too. where are her parents? how about a statement from them as well? she is only 15 — her mom manages her career and she works with her dad. they should make a statement in my opinion. i really want her to not go down the lindsay-path…

I agree, Zoey. Where were her parents? You don’t leave a 15-year old with a magazine photographer whose only goal is to make money for the magazine.

As soon as a photographer says Take your top off to a 15 year old, everyone knows what’s going on. They should all be ashamed, starting with Annie Liebowitz, VF, and Miley Cyrus’ parents who are pimps.

Can there be any consequences to these kids behaviors? I know they’re your cash cows, but the bigger picture here folks.
At 15 she does this, what’s next? Oh yeah, ask the other ‘good girl’ Jamie Lynn…

I still have to ask, “WHERE were her parents during this?” I mean I cannot imagine letting my 15yo take such a picture…clothed OR scantily clad. The adults had to know the ramifications of such a spread.

I am so very disappointed in all of them. I was truly hoping and praying tht Miley would not disappoint all her little fans that have been looking up to her. The look on my 10 year old daughters face when she saw the picture said it all for me. When are our young children going to truley have a star they can look up to without being disappointed at the end?
