I am not familar with Gianna and her story but my mother was a RN at a county hospital that did saline abortions 38 years ago. At the time you could lie how far along you were. Now you can not. Abortions are not pleasant procedure to go thru. You would be given a saline injection to start labor and deliver in the bed. Why is the reference to the fact that abortionist had not arrived? The doctor writes the order beforehand for the saline injections and nurse takes care of the patient. This is a thing of the past. How does Gianna feel about the mother who waited so long for the abortion?

Jean, if you will research what you're saying instead of parroting the Democratic talking points, you'll know that when "the rich" receive tax cuts, it is like perhaps paying only 30% instead of 33%. Or may a little less than the 50% rate that many wealthy people pay. The more money you make, the higher your percentage of taxes. Most people works four months of the year for the government - before they actually start being able to keep their money for themselves. And if you check the income of associates, I'm sure you'll find that Obama's contacts are just as wealthy. No one is arguing that global warming is not happening - the only argument is the role of people in global warming. No one argues that protecting and conserving the environment is not of primary importance. Conservatives do more real charity work than liberals. The McCains have lived out their beliefs about helping those less fortunate around the world - and in America. Obama's one claim to fame is that he's a good and inspiring speaker. He has absolutely no accomplishments to back up all the "hope" and "change" you want to see with him. He talks the talk but he hasn't walked the walk at all.

Hunting guns are controlled; that is not the problem; it's other kinds of guns. Background checks before buying a handgun are a farce. Why are semi-automatic type weapons available at all? This is a huge life issue. I would like to see more pro-lifers advocate better control.
I am not saying that government owes people charity. I am saying that our government lately gives a lot more money to the rich than to the poor in the form of subsidies and breaks for big business and a tax system that taxes the middle and lower income people at higher rates than the wealthy pay. Obama will change that to make the rich pay closer to their fair share. McCain will continue to favor the rich--look at his advisors. If Republicans believe in taking care of the environment, they have not shown it or done much. Bush's record is abysmal in environmental issues. Look how he refused the Kyoto Protocol and how he had people thinking for a while that global warming was not happening, just because doing the right thing might cost some big corporations some money. Have you asked yourself what Jesus would think of these issues? Did He go around helping the rich get richer at the expense of the poor? Bleeding heart implies one whose heart suffers with others’ pain. Jesus cared deeply for the downtrodden. He lived compassion and idealism. I need that idealism, that sense that we can do better by one another. I hear that from Obama. I have to go with hope.

OK, I've thought about it, and I'm wondering what Bible version you're reading to think that Jesus would have been a "bleeding-heart liberal." Studies have been done that indicate that conservatives give more to charities and do more to help others than liberals. That's not the important thing, though. By making "charity" part of what what the government "owes" people, we make people dependent on the government rather than develop the skills to provide for themselves. Guns, including handguns, are already controlled. I don't know of any conservative or Republican who is "for" pollution and against taking care of the environment. Democratic policies have done more to harm the poor.

I am strongly pro-life in every aspect of the issue. Pro-life means being against abortion; it means being against capital punishment; it means being for control of guns, especially handguns; it means controlling pollution which kills and sickens countless people; it means preserving God's creation so we can live healthy lives; it means helping the poor who have fewer chances and less access to health care. Certainly pro-life means being against war, especially unjust war that we start. Pro-life does not justify interfering with natural, dignified death the way Terri Schaivo's family did. I pray that God will not let anyone do that to me. Morally and ethically I could never support John McCain. I would have a difficult time supporting any Republicans until they start asking what Jesus would do on each issue. Jesus was the original bleeding-heart liberal. Think about it.

What a beautiful being she is that was nearly taken away from the world. So many millions just like her that could have been but are not. So sad that little ones like her don't make it and the only other form of human contact they ever experience is pure evilness. Gianna, you would make a GREAT mom!! God bless you!!! Keep up the good work!!

I don't know how folks can can hear Gianna's story and still convince themselves that ending an entity that would otherwise thrive, is anything other than homocide. What a brave lady. To God be the glory.

Just saw you on Hannity and Colmes. Wow what a story. Your Grace is apparent, and your cause is great. The best of luck in the future. Your story will be one I share with others.

I just saw Gianna on Hannity and Colmes. I must say that I was moved. I myself survived a life threatening experience. Had it not been for my wife who fought for me while I was in a coma and every medical professional wanted to let me go I would not be here today.

I thank God for you,
