Of course there are soldiers of all political beliefs in Iraq. However, my understanding is that the vast majority of them understand the awful price they’re paying because of the divisiveness here at home.

I really don’t understand your position at all. My dad who retired after serving over 20 years in the military thinks that Bush and Cheney are the worst thing to ever happen to this country. He has told me that in four years when my first son reaches the age of 18, he absolutely does not want him to enlist in the military if we are still at war with Iraq. This from a man who loved serving his country and is very patriotic.

You seem to be under the delusion that ALL soldiers are republican and blindly support the commander in chief. While they understand that they cannot refuse to serve, don’t assume that because they do serve, that they support this government.

Why won’t any American solider be thrilled? Anymore than guarding Bush or Rumsfailed?

And the Soldiers they despise have to provide them with protection. They have to escort them every where they go.

When Hillary was talking about having to drive to the Green Zone down the ‘Highway of Death’, I can ASSURE you she wasn’t in danger. Her ESCORTS WERE – but she wasn’t.

She had an entire battalion to come out – convoy to the airport, pick her and her entourage up and escort her to the Green Zone – then they had to go back to their base.

Their photo-ops and these trips they take so they can come back with stories of being in a war zone are at the expense of our Soldiers safety.

Politicians have done that in every war, I suppose. It’s just extra irritating when they go out of their way to make the war more dangerous for our Soldiers.
