See where it leads us.

I have done children’s sermons for over 20 years and it is such a great ministry. I have used a similar sermon using M&M’s showing that God loves us no matter our color, etc. The most success that I have had in holding the children’s attention is using lessons with humor. The Lord gave me this idea about 5 years ago and I created a character that I call Miss Polly. I have written many sermons using Miss Polly. Each one has a scripture and a Biblical message interwoven with hillbilly humor. The children love them and remember the lessons. I published these in a book this year called “Children’s Sermons with Humor: By the Hilarious Miss Polly.” You can visit the website at http://www.childrenssermonswithhumor.com. May God continue to use you in this very important ministry.

It’s one they will remember. I think in today’s schools we work on teaching tolerance so much that we focus a lot of attention on our differences. That’s important. But, I’m also glad you pointed out the ways we’re the same. I think that in order for us work and live together well, we also need to be aware that we’re the same in many, many ways.

Debi sent you a good one. It was very age appropriate, which is so important. I have heard sermons for children which were WAY over their heads. I am sure you did a good job.
TMS: YEA Jane! You’re back! I’ll be by your blog to see what you’re up to now that you’re home again!

Actually in retrospect, a box of 8 crayons might be even better instead of 64 kinds of people (I would think as well???) in the understanding of small children…

Thanks for sharing. I suspect you will be asked to do it again and again.

TMS: It was fun. Speaking in public is definitely NOT a strength of mine, but I’m getting a little more comfortable with it.

God loves us and He made us all.

Doesn’t really fit the idiotarian libel about Christianity being bigoted and intolerant, does it? -)

TMS: No, it doesn’t.
