He confided in Eliza that he had it and told her that if he won immunity he would give it to her because it was likely that she would be voted off. It turned out that he did win immunity. When he gave it to her she knew instantly that it wasn't real, but decided to play it just in case. By doing that, she also revealed Ozzy, that he had the immunity idol.
