This morning I mentioned to RT that he had some comments on the poems of his that I had published here a few days ago – here, here and here. After I read the comments to him, he said, “Random Cabin” might be calling soon.

“Random Cabin?” I asked – totally clueless about what he was referencing.

“Well, Random House might not be interested.”

It is obvious that I was meant to be with RT because I am still laughing. I so “get” his humor.

I saw the SNL skit on the news this morning, and so I went looking for the entire thing. Of course, it has to get in some jabs at Sarah Palin, but all in all, I think it’s pretty funny. It gets in a couple of good jabs at Hillary Clinton, too. Tina Fey portrays Sarah Palin and Amy Poehler portrays Hillary Clinton.

Ron White’s type of humor is hilarious to me. There’s a video clip below. He’s known as “Tater Salad.” Don’t ask me why. He always has a cigar in hand and a glass of scotch. They’re his trademarks. RT and I always enjoy watching the “Blue Collar Comedy” show that Ron White does with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall. I particularly like White’s storytelling jokes.

In 2006, he wrote a book titled I Had The Right To Remain Silent… But I Didn’t Have the Ability. It made it to #15 on the New York Times Best Seller List.

I love Jib Jab’s videos. This one is priceless. I love the part of Obama talking about change. Well, and Bill Clinton’s part is good, too.

One thing about the internet – It is a fertile ground for entrepreneurs,and you can find just about anything on the internet. Someone can get an idea, and with just a small investment of time and money have a website up about that idea. Now we have political condoms – something for each major political party. First there are McCain Condoms

and then there are Obama Condoms.

The websites are full of double entendres – and yes, they’re tacky and irreverent. However, they’re good for a few laughs – AND they’re bipartisan, which in this context, sounds just a tad naughty.

I read something today that made me look at Hillary in a different light. Here it is:

Running ahead of schedule, Clinton followed up the stop with a trip to the local Dairy Queen, where she ordered a Snickers Blizzard. “Two of my favorite things — ice cream and Snickers,” she said as she spooned bite after bite.

My sister, Debi, forwarded this revisionist cartoon to me today via email. Pretty funny, and unfortunately, when I read “progressive” blogs, it is what way too many people believe.
