No, he isn’t. You see, I don’t agree with his policies, and so he calls me the enemy, he thinks I should just sit in the back and keep my mouth shut, and he encourages people who support him to get into my face when I disagree.

I didn’t vote for Obama, but I was almost glad when he was elected because SO many people were so passionate about him. I truly hoped that my own misgivings would be proven wrong. Unfortunately, rather than bringing the country together, he has polarized the nation even more.

Obama doesn’t have much common sense. When a police officer simply did his job, Obama didn’t wait to get the whole story but quickly and publicly said that the police officer “acted stupidly.” Obama is the most divisive POTUS in my lifetime. He makes everything an “us-them” issue. He fought for a stimulus plan that was a failure. He has saddled our children and grandchildren with unsustainable debt. He mocks those who disagree with him. He makes so many gaffes - and they’re generally not mentioned much beyond conservative websites. The left loves to make fun of Sarah Palin. However, Obama’s blunders and misspeakings eclipse Palin’s by far - the press just does its best to ignore Obama’s gaffes - or explain them away. Oh - and, according to Obama, the only reason everyone doesn’t agree with his policies is because he hasn’t communicated well enough with us. Sure - if he only explained it better - we slow-witted conservatives would agree that higher taxes, bigger government and greater debt is the way to prosperity.

I voted early in this election. All my votes went to Republicans. To me, voting for a Democrat would be against every value I have - and every value upon which our country was founded. I hurt for the very good people who believe in Obama’s policies. Democrats are basically people who don’t understand the concept of accountability and responsibility. They’ve made villains out of hard-working, productive Americans, and they encourage dependency on the government. They don’t think beyond immediate gratification and have no clue of the long-term consequences of their policies. To them, helping others means giving people things - food, health care, money, citizenship - without requiring anything in return.
