Iron Chef, The Next Iron Chef, Top Chef, Hell’s Kitchen, Dinner: Impossible, The Next Food Network Star - I love them all.   I like to cook, and I particularly enjoying making something that I know is delicious!  But what is with all the cooking shows?  Occasionally I’ll watch Paula Deen,  Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse or Rachael Ray, but I like the competition shows the best.  The premise of having to come up with a delicious and/or original dish with certain ingredients or within certain limits just intrigues me.  So I watch all the competition cooking shows.   I’m rather obsessed with them actually.  I have them all on TiVo.

And, by the way, while I’m the subject . . . that ending of that last “The Next Food Network Star” was completely wrong.  The judges on the show had already decided that Amy wasn’t as good as Jag or Rory.  She had already been eliminated from the competition.  However, when Jag dropped out, they brought her back and let her win.  She shouldn’t have.  It was wrong - plain and simple.  Rory should have won.  I watched Amy’s show a couple time, and it just about put me to sleep.  I don’t know if it’s still on or not, but I doubt it.  Rory would have had a really entertaining show.

But still - when the next “Food Network Star” show is on, I’ll watch every single episode.
