About Carol
I’m an early baby boomer - a reading specialist - mother of two - and grandmother of two. I love reading, writing, camping, hiking, mountain biking, dancing, golf, and being with family and friends.
You’ll find that I write about my two granddaughters a lot. Here at THE MEDIAN SIB I call them Sweet Stuff and Sunshine. They’re 3 and 5 years old, and they are the most precious things in the world to me. Nothing is sweeter than to hear their voices call me “Grandma Carol.”
I started keeping a diary at the ripe old age of 10 years when my father gave me a gift of a brown leather-bound diary. I’ve kept one ever since - about 47 years. Blogging is just a different way for me to do what I’ve been doing for so long.
I live in Tennessee. It has been my home for the past twenty years. However, I’m originally from Georgia. Most of my family still lives there. I’ve lived in North Carolina and Illinois, too.
I was married to RT in 1969 and we were married for 28 years, but then we divorced. After 8 years of being divorced we got back together, and this past September 5th we were remarried in a beautiful and rustic outdoor ceremony in a park near Anchorage, Alaska. The photo below is one taken at that ceremony.

I’m thrilled and happy to be back together with RT, my first and forever love We are in the process of building our dream home on some land we own here in Tennessee. We hope to move in late in the summer of 2007.I enjoy writing this blog, and I hope you will leave a comment and visit again soon.
